Go towards the light!

This beautiful Nunhead gem is the perfect place to get some mouth watering morsels. Visitors can relax and reflect in this quiet pub with a pint after a tranquil walk through the Nunhead cemetery. With its bright interior, soothing green walls, and light wooden panelling at the bar, you won’t want to leave.

You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a brick wall with a massive painted mural of angels emerging from a heavenly light. This is one of the only instances when you should go towards the light! Once inside the pub, visitors can enjoy the brightly lit interior, complete with gorgeous stained glass windows, and green tile behind the bar to compliment the light green walls. With a constantly changing guest ale, you can enjoy your drink in the charming urban beer garden, with plants aplenty, and mirrors to amplify the already plentiful light.

Don’t leave without trying a bite

Those who venture into the Waverley Arms will fall in love with the decadent menu. Enjoy delicacies ranging from an ever changing fresh fish of the day, a homemade pie of the day, or the famous Sunday roast. People come from near and far to delve into a Sunday roast that was listed in Time Out as one of the top 5 roasts in South London.
