The most inclusive pub in London

For those who find themselves in East Greenwich, be sure to pop in to this lovely local boozer. This recently reopened treasure is the result of the community's fight to prevent its closure and transform it into a community-led co-op pub. The pub prides itself on bringing people together from all parts of the community.

Great efforts are made to become the most inclusive pub in London. The Star of Greenwich is the prime example of a community pub which prioritises the gathering of different members of the neighbourhood. With a specially designated ‘kids area’, and its proximity to a local pensioners residency, generations are brought together, bridging the gaps between age demographics. The Star of Greenwich is not just a pub, but a community that bands together to form an inclusive and steadfast community.

Working hand in hand with local charities

The pub also hosts and promotes various charities’ inclusive actions in the community. Some of the groups who find haven in the Star of Greenwich are English conversation classes for refugees and immigrants, various mental health charities joining forces, and an affordable childcare group.
