A haven of tranquility
This quaint pub is certainly more than meets the eye, a haven of tranquillity amidst the hustle and bustle of Old Street. Originally built in the 18th century for the tailors and seamstresses who lived and worked in the area. Ownership changed hands over the years, with one notable owner being the famous East End boxer Dixie Dean!
Located on a hidden back street, this intimate pub is perfect for catching up with mates after work, or chatting to someone new. A cosy gem, home to rotating art exhibits, live music, and a unique chalkboard dartboard alcove, full of messages and drawings from previous visitors. The homey feeling extends upstairs, with its wooden beams, exposed brick fireplace, and seasonal house plants.
You can’t be bored at the self-proclaimed backstreet boozer
Whether you prefer to just stop by for a quiet pint after work or join in on one of the many events the Prince Arthur has to offer, a good drink and warm atmosphere is for certain. Enjoy a wide array of drinks amongst live music, quirky quizzes, guest DJ’s, or just with your mates. You’ll never be bored at this self-proclaimed backstreet boozer.
