This Kennington treasure epitomises the community, and after visiting a couple times, you’ll feel like one of the gang. Whether you want to enjoy live music or yell at some footballers on the telly with some new friends, the Pilgrim is beloved by staff and customers alike for its family feeling.
Originally a glass factory that was damaged during the blitz, it was refurbished as a pub and has been owned by its current publican since 2009. Two brightly decorated beer gardens, complete with wooden tables and fairy lights, make it feel like you’ve walked into a neighbourhood barbecue. If you prefer to stay indoors, you’ll find plush leather chairs and couches, perfect for curling up on whilst enjoying your drink during the winter. Who knows, if you explore this pub, you might even find a hidden room! Put your primary school music skills to the test on the in house piano during the live music evenings every Friday and Saturday, or during their monthly open mic night.
