A Clerkenwell classic

This classic pub in the heart of Clerkenwell is full of hearty food, delicious drinks, and great company. Drop by for live music, pub quiz, or simply for a friendly chat. After coming in a few times, you’ll be greeted by name and asked if you’d like your usual. It feels like a local from a small village in the centre of London.

The pub hadn’t changed much over 200 years, so it was time for a bit of a facelift when the current owner took possession in 2022. As well as getting an updated interior, the landlady involved the community in the revamp, asking them what they wanted out of their local. It now hosts a number of unique events, including singalongs, talent shows, and even dog shows! The pub is so beloved by its community that it even has a local football team named after it! Staff and customers go to the games to cheer on the team, providing chants, songs, and general spirit.

Authentic Indian street food

Thanks to the pub’s authentic tandoor oven, the menu is filled with traditional Indian street food. Enjoy chef Kohima’s handmade samosas, gol gappa shots, vada pav, butter chicken, and paneer tikka. And don’t miss out on the fresh buttery naan bread, hot out of the oven.
