An iconic Camden pub
This Camden legend has a rich history, having hosted numerous musical icons over the decades. Following its refurbishment, this unique establishment quickly transformed into a punk haven, becoming the pub of choice for a lengthy roster of musicians and celebrities. This venue continues to host live music, showcasing a variety of up-and-coming bands, so be sure to pop in!
Starting out as a working people’s club, this pub transformed in the 90’s becoming the music venue it still is. Visitors today will hear about the different monumental music events that happened in the building, such as Elastica signing with Deceptive Records, or the start of the Oasis vs. Blur feud. It was also a favourite haunt for many music legends, such as Amy Winehouse, Alan McGee, Elastica, and many more. The pub offers free entry for its live music, so if you fancy an evening show, stop on by, and who knows, you might even find your new favourite band!
The cellar’s secret
The original pub that was in this location was severely damaged during the blitz, and was rebuilt in the 1950’s. During the construction, a cement mixer was sealed in the cellar, creating the name “The Good Mixer” that we know and love today!
