Peckham’s best kept secret!

The Duke of Sussex is the unsung hero settled in the heart of Peckham’s residential area. Often unnoticed due to its location, this local is truly a hidden gem. A classic Edwardian building which has served as a community pub since the early 20th century, and is still going strong.

With the ever-growing gentrification of Peckham, the local pubs that once were a part of the neighbourhood are frequently fewer and far between. However, the Duke of Sussex carries on the tradition of being a local community pub, serving local Peckham residents. It welcomes regulars and newcomers alike, and is open to four legged friendly creatures (both children and dogs!). In today’s ever changing modern age, owners Gary and Lenia take pride in retaining the pub’s traditional feel while implementing a few modern tweaks.

A prize for those who wander off of the path

Enjoy a classic cocktail or craft beer in a lovely back garden, or in the more traditional interior. While this understated local might take a bit more work to find than your average high street pub, your efforts will be rewarded with good food, cold drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere.
