Originally established as a beer house in the late 1700s, in proximity to the Old Drovers' Road, a toll-free back road of the district, this hidden gem has witnessed the passage of cattle and pigs enroute to the now-defunct weekly pig market.
Under the loving stewardship of landlords Eamonn and Arina, the pub underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2022, transforming it into a beloved hub for the local community. Here, drinkers, foodies, families, and couples come to enjoy fine house-made pies and superb Sunday roasts paired with an exceptional selection of British real ales and craft beers.
