The Royal Oak Highams

Formerly a cottage, the resolute building has retained its Edwardian features, making the Oak an establishment most pleasing to the eye. Licensed as a pub since 1879, the Royal Oak has witnessed many events over the last century, from laughter and shared moments over hearty meals and pints to more spectacular episodes, such as the end of the chase of robber Lepidus, who took refuge in the then Oak Cottage after the infamous Tottenham Outrage in 1909.
At the Royal Oak, you’ll be spoiled with a warm welcome from the team and tasty food such as the irresistible Cornish steak & ale pie, the Raspberry chipotle pork tenderloin, or the Roasted butternut squash and beetroot salad. You can also bite into one of their succulent burgers.
