A historic establishment with a familial atmosphere
Venture away from the bustling main streets, and you'll discover this splendid traditional historic pub, which was built in 1738 and has witnessed the many tales of Piccadilly's streets. Settle down in this sanctuary of tranquillity, appreciate the Victorian features and indulge in one of their excellent selection of beers – from real ale to delightful Guinness, you won’t be disappointed. The team also makes a point of supporting independent breweries!
Despite being situated in an ever-changing area, this pub has proudly operated independently for the past twelve years, cultivating a familial atmosphere – so much so that one-third of the team were once regular patrons before joining the family! Even the bar manager found his now-husband in the pub ten years ago and got engaged at the very spot where they first met!
Expect to meet a mix of hospitality workers, theatre goers, tourists and live music lovers who come to enjoy gigs on Sunday.
Dog friendly since 1855
Dogs are very much welcome at the Queens Head! This local has a special history with these adorable furry friends as the Kennel Club's first canine meeting was held here in 1855. If you need convincing, just take a peek at the well-known historic dog painting depicting the event in the pub!
